When I was 6, I watched my grandpop clean a fish I had caught earlier that day, after begging him for what felt like hours to let me. I was so traumatized I refused to go fishing again. Now, I find there is something pleasant and romantic about the idea of fishing - but I’m not sure whether or not I can bring myself to do it again. They eyes of that dying fish still haunt me.
